Happy Birthday T-Bone!

Ted's birthday was last week, so this post is a bit late, but I've been busy being lazy so I'm just getting to it. We had a nice evening and celebrated by going out to dinner. Ted really wanted a toaster oven and nothing is too good for my T-Bone, so a toaster oven he did receive. Since then we've been toasting everything we eat. :)

My baby-face hubby is another year older

I'm going to backtrack a little bit as well here...on July 12th we saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in concert. We saw them 2 years ago and it was one of the best concerts ever, so we had to go back to see them again this year. It was a good time, although I was definitely reaching the point of "I don't want to leave the house until this baby is out." I couldn't stand for long periods of time but figured it would be fine because we sat almost the entire time when we saw him last. It was a wild and crazy crowd this time around though and they all stood the entire time. So I sat on the blanket and clung to Ted's leg most of the night and caught glimpses of Tom on the big screens between people's torsos in front of me. I'm still glad we went though because they do totally rock. Every song is just so great!

Pregnant Weazie

We've been up to other things lately as well, but the couch is calling my name, so I'll save it for another post.

Mug Shot

Can you make out the adorable face on this little creature?? 6 weeks left! 4 if I'm lucky!

Kids' Books that Rock.

My bag is not packed. There is no mattress in the crib. I only have 2 bottles. But damn it, the library is stocked. This week I'm obsessing about having all of the books I loved as a little kid on the shelves so we can read them to Baby B. I was looking at a bunch online today at work and my co-worker, who is my age, and I kept exclaiming over and over about the same books we loved. Here's a small taste of some of my favorites:

1. Sylvester and the Magic Pebble

2. Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel

3. Blueberries for Sal

4. Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

5. The Amazing Bone

The list goes on and on! I'm so excited to read these again!

What were some of your favorite books as a kid??

It's Not A Compliment, People.

Stop Thief!

Ted (also known as "Captain Obsession") has apparently been wanting to get a copy of an old board game that he loved as a kid. I wasn't really aware of this quest until his precious copy arrived on the doorstep, courtesy of some Ebay sniping.

He was very excited to play a round and we brought it to Teague and Mindy's last weekend to see if we could entice them. True to Ted's word, it's a totally rad game and I feel myself becoming obsessed with it as well. We played again this weekend and had a riot. I hope everyone else had a great 4th of July!
